I have the same lens.. And I don't get that close! Is that a rare spider or something? I don't think we have those in Norway. Maybe its easier to get close-ups of a bigger spider.

No, it's very tiny :) As I told you - I used extension tubes for that shot and then cropped a little bit :)

Depends if they have electric conections or not. I recommend you those who have. They're more expensive, but it's worth it :)
